Opening hours - Christmas and New Year 2025

Less capacity and shorter opening hours during Christmas and New Year's, and the first week of January. As we normally receive fewer bookings, which again leads to fewer goods in circulation, this should not affect our services. 

Please book early, and trust us to provide the best solution for your goods.

Road freight

Please remember to book early, as there will be fewer trailers and drivers on the road during the holidays in all of Europe.

We prefer to create orders before week 50 to ensure delivery before Christmas. Schedules are estimates and delays are possible due to congestion, public holidays, and driver shortages. Capacity limitations are a major challenge across Europe.

Special arrangements during weeks 52 and 1 may increase costs. They should plan accordingly.

Intermodal freight

The holiday season brings increased demand and operational challenges for intermodal transport (combining road, rail, and sea). The final time schedule for the trains will be available on week 49 and we'll update this information as soon as possible. If you need deliveries before Christmas, we ask you to create orders on week 49 latest.

We provide real-time tracking and proactive updates. Please note that transfers between different transport modes can cause additional delays.

Sea & Air freight

Please place your orders for ocean freight early, transit times may be extended by several weeks. Delays may occur because of lack of containers, port congestion, labor strikes, and weather conditions.

Air Freight is an option if you have urgent shipments. Place your air freight orders as early as possible, ideally by late November or early December, to secure capacity. Also flight schedules may change due to congestion, weather conditions, or airline operational adjustments. Delays are possible.

Urgent last minute shipments and special handling (such as temperature-controlled cargo) can increase costs and airlines may determine restrictions on hazardous materials, batteries, or special products during the holiday season.
